Since our founding in 1921, National Council for the Social Studies has worked to promote the teaching of social studies to the best advantage of the students in the classroom, to encourage research, experimentation, and investigation; and to provide leadership, support and service to social studies educators. You can help NCSS strengthen our advocacy for social studies; increase our services to educators and encourage and support research and classroom application projects that improve social studies education by making a tax-deductible financial gift to the NCSS Stewardship Fund.
National Council for the Social Studies believes that high quality professional development is important to the professional growth of social studies teachers, and to the outcomes in the classrooms in which they teach. This is especially true for early career teachers. The NCSS First Timers' Scholarship Fund supports attendance by early career teachers who have never attended an NCSS Annual Conference.Your $325 contributions funds a full scholarship for a early-career nteacher who would otherwise not be able to attend.
